Actor Aaron Pierre Confirms He’s Single Nearly 8 Months After Teyana Taylor Split

Aaron Pierre is officially confirming his relationship status months after his romance with Teyana Taylor came to an end.

During an Aug. 7 appearance on “TODAY,” the 32-year-old actor revealed that he is currently single while discussing the attention he’s received from fans who have dubbed him the “internet’s boyfriend.”

When Jenna Bush Hager asked Pierre directly whether he was single, he confirmed, “I am!” The “Lanterns” star also admitted that he appreciates the heartthrob status fans have given him.

“We’re all only human. I would be lying to you if I said it wasn’t warmly received,” he shared, adding that the attention “definitely makes me smile.”

Pierre’s confirmation comes nearly eight months after reports surfaced in December 2025 that he and Teyana Taylor had called it quits. The former couple publicly confirmed their romance in June 2025 following months of speculation, though an exact date for their breakup was never revealed.

As for whether Pierre is ready to jump back into the dating scene, it appears his priorities are elsewhere for now. The actor said he’s currently “very locked into being the best father I can be, and being the best artist I can be.”

Pierre’s comments mark one of his clearest public acknowledgments of his relationship status since his split from Taylor.
