[UPDATE] Dispatch Audio Suggests Hayden Panettiere May Have Suffered An Overdose
New information has surfaced about Hayden Panettiere’s final moments.
According to dispatch audio obtained by PEOPLE, officials can be heard referencing an “overdose” and “cardiac arrest” around the time the 36-year-old actress d!ed Sunday (Aug. 16). Greenville Police had already confirmed to the outlet that officers and EMS responded to a call about an unresponsive woman at a Greenville, South Carolina home around 1:50 p.m., which cited law enforcement sources saying a friend of Panettiere’s placed the 911 call.
First responders reportedly tried to revive Panettiere using advanced cardiac life support — chest compressions combined with medication, breathing tubes and heart rhythm monitoring — before she was pronounced dead at 2:32 p.m. The Greenville Police Department and Greenville County Coroner’s Office are handling the investigation, and an official cause of de@th is expected only after an autopsy is completed. Panettiere is survived by her 11-year-old daughter, Kaya, whom she shares with former fiancé Wladimir Klitschko.
