Snoop Dogg Biopic Casts Rising Actor Myles Bullock Be As Dr. Dre

Myles Bullock Be has landed the role of #DrDre in Universal’s Snoop Dogg biopic!

He joins Netflix star Jonathan Daviss — previously cast as #SnoopDogg himself — in the Craig Brewer-directed film, which traces the rapper’s rise from Long Beach in the 1990s. Central to that story is Snoop’s bond with Dre: after receiving a demo tape featuring a young Snoop while working on his solo album The Chronic, Dre brought him into several tracks, including “Nuthin’ But a ‘G’ Thang,” and went on to mentor him and produce his debut album, Doggystyle. The film, produced by Imagine Entertainment’s Brian Grazer and Allan Mandelbaum alongside Snoop Dogg and Death Row Pictures’ Sara Ramaker, is set for release on August 6, 2027.

For Bullock Be, the role reunites him with Brewer, who directed him in Peacock’s Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist alongside Kevin Hart, Taraji P. Henson, and Samuel L. Jackson. Some of his other credits include White Men Can’t Jump, a run on Starz’s #BMF, and Marvel’s Runaways.
