[Update] Perez Hilton Gets Supervised Visits w/ His Kids After Psychiatric Clearance-His Mother Will Keep Temporary Custody Following Mental Health Crisis

Perez Hilton has been granted supervised visitation with his three children while his mother, Teresita Lavandeira, holds temporary legal custody following his hospitalization.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, a judge ruled that Hilton may see his children only under supervision. Visits must be monitored by either a family member approved by both sides or a therapist. Before visitation can begin, Hilton must receive psychiatric clearance.

The supervised arrangement will remain in place until the court changes the order or Hilton and his mother reach a different agreement.

Lavandeira was given temporary legal custody, giving her authority over the children’s medical care, school enrollment, and other decisions. Hilton is listed as the children’s only legal parent and reportedly agreed to the arrangement.

The custody filing came after Hilton was hospitalized earlier this month following a mental health crisis at his Florida home. His family said the children, his niece, and his sister were present before leaving once they realized he was unwell.

TMZ also reported Hilton was treated for an overdose and remains hospitalized in an inpatient setting. The custody case has been sealed to protect the children’s privacy.
