BigXthaPlug Arrested On DWI & G*n Charges After Missing Festival Performance Due To ‘Personal Emergency’

Dallas rapper BigXthaPlug is facing multiple charges following his latest arrest in Texas.

The 27-year-old rapper, whose real name is Xavier Landum, was arrested by Allen police on Friday (Aug. 21) and booked into the Collin County Jail. According to jail records, BigXthaPlug was charged with driving while intoxicated, possession of less than two ounces of marijuana, and unlawful possession of a fire@rm. Authorities have not released details surrounding what allegedly led to the arrest.

BigXthaPlug was scheduled to perform at the Country Rising Festival that same day but missed his appearance. Festival organizers reportedly told fans that the rapper was unable to perform due to a “personal emergency.

Interestingly, the arrest came exactly one year after BigXthaPlug was arrested in Dallas on Aug. 21, 2025, for marijuana possession and unlawful possession of a f!rearm. That arrest happened on the same day he released his album I Hope You’re Happy. He was also arrested in Arlington in February 2025 for marijuana possession, though that case was later dismissed.

BigXthaPlug has become one of Dallas’ biggest breakout rap stars in recent years. After beginning his music career in 2023, he gained widespread attention with his single “Texas” and later launched his own record label. He currently has more than 19 million monthly Spotify listeners, while his hit “Mmhmm” has surpassed 548 million streams.
