Actor Terrence Howard Says He’s Considering Running For President, Wants Descendants Of Slaves Exempt From Federal Taxes For 400 Years

Could Terrence Howard be eyeing the White House?

The Empire actor is opening up about his political ambitions, revealing that he may consider running for president if he believes current leaders aren’t making meaningful changes.

During a recent conversation with TMZ in New York City, Terrence was asked whether he was looking forward to voting in the upcoming election. His response took the conversation in an unexpected direction.

“Yes. I’m looking forward to becoming president,” he said.

When asked whether he was serious about pursuing the presidency, Terrence suggested that someone needs to step up if elected officials aren’t delivering results.

“If they’re not going to make a difference, somebody’s got to do something.”

One of his biggest proposed priorities involves reparations for descendants of enslaved people.

According to TMZ, Terrence wants to meet with President Donald Trump to discuss the lasting economic impact of slavery. He believes descendants of enslaved people should be exempt from paying federal taxes for the next 400 years.

The actor reportedly argued that such a policy could help address economic disparities and encourage greater investment in Black communities.

He described the proposal as a way to address “400 years of bad karma.”

Terrence also shared his thoughts on Nicki Minaj’s relationship with Trump and questioned whether she’s using her political influence effectively.

While Terrence expressed interest in becoming president, he has not formally announced a campaign.
