Congratulations! Kandi Burruss Gets Emotional While Revealing Songwriters Hall Of Fame Nomination: What God Got For You, It’s Still Going To Happen’

Let’s hear it for #KandiBurruss!

The multi-hyphenate star has another major accomplishment to celebrate after landing a nomination for the Songwriters Hall of Fame’s 2027 class! Kandi couldn’t hold back tears as she shared the exciting news, saying, “…most amazing news that I’ve heard in so long; it’s been so much crazy stuff that’s been said about me over this past year, and sometimes it’s real heavy, but I keep moving.” She added, “What God got for you, it’s still go happen. It’s still meant for you.”

And this recognition is no small feat! According to Variety, songwriters aren’t eligible for induction until 20 years after their first commercial song release. Kandi joins an impressive list of nominees, including will.i.am, #LadyGaga, and Grandmaster Melle Mel. Eligible voting members have until midnight EST on December 14 to submit their ballots, selecting up to three nominees in each of the songwriter and performing songwriter categories.

Major congratulations to Kandi.
