Dry Snitchin’: Maria Sharapova Shares Serena Williams Personal Business, Tells Reporters She Was Dating A Married Man With Kids
Before battling it out on the court Monday in Wimbledon, off-the court, the drama has already begun between Serena Williams and Maria Sharpova. Here’s how it all got started. Maria is rumored to be dating Grigor Dimitrov, who happens to be Serena’s ex-boyfriend. In Serena’s recent interview with Rolling Stone, she made the following comments allegedly about Maria (without calling her by name):
There are people who live, breathe and dress tennis. I mean, seriously, give it a rest. She begins every interview with ‘I’m so happy. I’m so lucky’ – it’s so boring. She’s still not going to be invited to the cool parties. And, hey, if she wants to be with the guy with a black heart, go for it.
And in her pre-tournament press conference Saturday, Maria barked back, sharing that Serena’s current boyfriend, Patrick Mouratoglou (he currently coaches her), was married with children when they began dating.
Obviously I have a tremendous amount of respect for Serena and what she’s achieved on the court. If she wants to talk about something personal, maybe she should talk about her relationship and her boyfriend that was married and is getting a divorce and has kids. Talk about other things, but not draw attention to other things. She has so much in her life, many positives, and I think that’s what it should be about.
Eek. Check the clip below.
Meanwhile, her rumored boyfriend/coach responded:
I don’t think anything about it (about what Sharapova said). My role is to think about tennis and to help Serena be the best she can be and do what she wants to achieve. I’m just here for tennis.
No official response from Serena yet.
