Broadcast Music, Inc.(BMI), presented “How I Wrote That Song,” its annual pre-GRAMMY event, on Saturday (January 25) at The House of Blues in West Hollywood. The panel featured GRAMMY-nominated scribe Linda Perry, ACM and CMA award-winning wordsmith Dallas Davidson, GRAMMY-nominated rapper Wiz Khalifa, GRAMMY-nominated producer Alex Da Kid and GRAMMY-nominated singer Charlie Wilson. The panel, moderated by Catherine Brewton, BMI Vice President, Writer/Publisher Relations, Atlanta, focused on the process of writing, producing and performing hit songs. Each panelist shared anecdotes on how their greatest hits came to be. Check out the photos.

ASCAP Presents The 2014 Grammy Nominee Brunch

The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP), hosted its 5th annual Grammy Nominee Brunch on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at the SLS Beverly Hills. The event kicked off their 100th Anniversary year long celebration, honoring ASCAP members who are nominated at the 56th annual Grammy Awards. Guests included: Ozzy & Sharon Osbourne, NE-YO, T.I., Jermaine Dupri, Kelly Price, Bridget Kelly, Alex Newell, Nicci Gilbert, Claudia Brant, Melanie Thornton and Kerry “Krucial” Keys.
