Newly signed Washington Redskins player DeSean Jackson is defending himself against critics who suggest his gang affiliation has dampering his career. The 27-year-old wide receiver visited Arsenio Hall, speaking candidly about the negative press surrounding him. He explains:
You know it is what it is. Myself, growing up in Los Angeles, California, South Central, Inglewood, Crenshaw. I was raided through that, you feel me? So, at the end of the day, me being a professional athlete, I just can’t look up at the end of the day and say ‘Peace, y’all, I’m going over here.
