Tension Heightens In Ferguson, Journalists Arrested While Covering Protests
There’s a repugnant aroma of resistance and contention lingering above the city of Ferguson, M.O., as the voices of the community, and those all across the country demand to be heard.
If you’ve been keeping up with Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and national news, you’re aware that five days ago, an unarmed teenager by the name of Michael Brown was gunned down in Ferguson, Missouri [click here for the backstory].
Last night (August 13th), two journalists were arrested while covering the Ferguson story. Huffington Post’s Ryan J. Reilly and the Washington Post’s Wesley Lowery were arrested Wednesday evening while covering the protests. After his arrest, Reilly appeared on MSNBC’s All In with Chris Hayes.
