[EXCLUSIVE] Shaquille O’Neal Slapped With $270K Home Foreclosure Judgement
Shaquille O’Neal was dragged into a foreclosure legal battle and he was slapped with a $270K judgement over a Florida home, theJasmineBRAND.com has exclusively learned.
The former NBA star was sued — along with several other defendants — by City National Bank back in 2013. The lawsuit filed in Broward County, FL Court was seeking to foreclose on a modest Sunrise, FL pad. The 3 bedroom 3 bathroom home is only worth an estimated $207K.
Then recently, the judge sided with City National Bank and awarded them a total of $270,035.48 which was the principal due + interest and other costs. Shaq along with the other defendants were ordered to pay the amount ASAP. According to the order, it states that the decision was made based on the banks motion for summary judgement along with the affidavits of Lester Knispel – who at one point was the NBA stars manager. The home was sold off at a foreclosure auction a month later.
