[EXCLUSIVE] Lil Wayne Accused of Hustling Boy Band Out of $600K
Lil Wayne (real name Dwyane Carter, Jr) is accused of misleading a teenage boy band and the group is blasting the rapper along with Cash Money co-founder Birdman (real name Bryan Williams) in new legal docs in their battle for $600K, theJasmineBRAND.com exclusively reports.
Lil Wayne’s Young Money Records was sued by a teen group – W3 The Future – who claimed they signed them promising $600K for their advance and recording costs — only to never be paid any money.
The boy bands production company Grassroots Production sued Young Money and Cash Money claiming they delivered the debut album but never got a dime of the money due on the contract. They said that they simply were told by a rep of the record label that they weren’t moving forward with the project.
