Tank Disappointed People Aren’t Supporting His Music: Maybe I should have been born white.
Tank sounds defeated in his latest Instagram post. The singer took to Instagram to vent and share his disappointment that fans of real music have failed to support and purchase his latest project, Stronger. Sharing an honest moment with his fans, he writes:
If I look tired it’s because I am. I’m deeply saddened and disappoint that “Stronger” will not get a video or the continued promotion it deserves! I’d love to blame @atlanticrecords but that would be a lie! It’s tough for record companies to continue to fund music that people don’t support! I pride myself on giving you real musicianship, real singing, real lyrical content and being true to the music that inspired my very existence. The problem is there aren’t many people left that want to hear it or buy it and if there are they won’t stand up and be noticed! Who am I doing this for? Who am I maintaining this so called integrity for? Not many as u can tell by my first wk sales..lol. The artist that don’t give a f*ck sale the most and do the most! Should that be my new route?

I feel where Tank is coming from. It’s hard getting people to support what you put your heart and soul into. His first single “You’re My Star” I supported it HEAVY when I had my radio show. Even then people were telling me to not play it because they didn’t like it. Tank is too talented to stop making music BUT his musical roots did begin with gospel music so maybe he should return to his roots by writing and producing and maybe making several appearances on songs here and there. I will take this piece and submit it to him to give him an idea of where he can go. Quitting is not an option especially when you’re blessed with a God given talent.
His race certainly does not affect his ability to sell music. He is another one who uses the race card when it’s convenient for him.
To add – after a while “the fans” will no longer support those who when convenient “bite” the hands who feed you & your family.
Maybe sometimes in life you should watch what you send out.Because you may not like what you get back.
Tank is just now realizing that he is transitioning to the “Has Been” stage. So it’s time to take the reality tv show path. lol But really, no one is looking for Tank, and if he wants someone too look for him, he needs to re-brand himself. Promote Promote Promote.
Yeah, the fact that he’s not white is the problem! Not that his music isnt as good, or he has said some pretty insulting things DIRECTLY to his fan base….. It’s because he’s black.
Idiot!
