Jussie Smollett Confirms Sexuality: There’s never been a closet. [VIDEO]

Empire star Jussie Smollet is sharing more of his personal life — specifically his sexuality — with the public. Earlier this month, rumors hit that the actor (who plays Jamal Lyon, a gay singer and the middle son of Lucious) was gay, after his co-star Malik Yoba commented about his sexuality.
In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, Jussie sorta-kinda alludes to the fact that he is gay and shares why never felt the need to discuss his personal life. He says:
It was very, very important to me that my first performance and talk show, that it was with you. You’ve been such an inspiration to so many, but also to me. What you’ve done in the LGBT community is very much, in my opinion, kind of like what Michael Jackson did with the black community — just that you are who you are. He was just Michael, and you’re just Ellen.”
He continues:
There’s never been a closet. That I’ve been in. I don’t own a closet, I got a dresser, but I don’t
