Religion Goes Mainstream: Daytime TV Welcomes Bishop TD Jakes
“America’s Pastor,” Bishop TD Jakes continues to break down religious barriers as he heads to mainstream television. TEGNA Media in conjunction with Debmar-Mercury recently announced that they have partnered with TDJ Enterprises in an attempt to reach the Christian audience. The faith-based talk show is set to begin its test run August 17th and end September 11th.
Viewers in Atlanta, Cleveland, Dallas, and Minneapolis will have the opportunity to catch the show, which will air on 4 of TEGNA’s stations. Upon the success of the trial, it is highly likely that Jakes will be added to the network’s 2016 roster. An overjoyed Jakes professed,
