Celebs Support Million Man March: Diddy, Russell Simmons, Porsha Williams, J.Cole, Common, Yandy Smith, Phaedra Parks [Photos]
Over the weekend, crowds flocked to Washington, DC in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Million Man March. The event — held on Saturday October 10th at the National Mall — organized by Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, with the theme “Justice or Else”.
The event included speeches calling for unity and reform of social justice issues affecting people of color.
Farrakhan told the crowd:
We who are getting older… what good are we if we don’t prepare young people to carry that torch of liberation to the next step? What good are we if we think we can last forever and not prepare others to walk in our footsteps?
A few famous faces were spotted in the crowd including artists, reality TV stars and well-known activists. including: Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, J.Cole, Phaedra Parks (Real Housewives of Atlanta), Sheree Whitfield (Real Housewives of Atlanta), Porsha Williams (Real Housewives of Atlanta), Snoop Dogg, Chuck D, Jeezy, Common, Roland Martin and others.
