Kim had been scheduled to perform this week, with Pharrell Williams, promoting a collaborative song from the Hidden Figures soundtrack.

Reportedly, Ellen (who is openly gay) uninvited Kim, over her recent remarks about gay people. As previously reported, during a recent sermon the 44-year-old artists preached about homosexuality being a sin:

I came to tell you about sin. That sin nature. That perverted homosexual spirit, and the spirit of delusion and confusion, it has deceived many men and women.

She continued,

You as a man, you open your mouth and take a man’s penis in your face, you are perverted. You are a woman and will shake your face in another woman’s breast, you are perverted.

See footage from her sermon below.

After receiving some backlash, Kim took to Facebook Live clarifying her statements:

We’re not in a war against flesh and blood. I came on because I care about God’s creation and every person from the LGBT and anything else, any other kind of thing that is supporting gay. I never said LGBT last night. I said S-I-N and whatever falls in the sin was preached.

Here’s a clip of her clarifying her statements below:

I love Ellen. I really do. And I pray for her. But the bible is CRYSTAL CLEAR about homosexuality. If non Christians don’t want to hear it than they should stop asking TRUE Christian believers.

The bible states to “tell the truth in love”. This is the Love Jesus not the facade that most people give. There was no love in that sermon. It is was very typical of the “black church”. The Top 5 subjects in most black churches where you can almost genuine to get a Amen, get the people shouting and hear clapping and cheering, are gossiping, money, cheating, prosperity and homosexuality. Homosexuality is #1. Her purpose was not to win a soul or change a heart. Her purpose was to he emotional reaction from the crowd. Well done.

No one asked her for her opinion…. Funny in her FB statement she said, she had to do what God told her to do. Well if God really told her and it’s the “Word of God” why did you have to clarify, defend or explain. The real truth will stand all by itself. She need to read Matt 10:14. Again well done the crowd was done but was God Pleased?

I support Kim Burrell. Somebody has to tell the truth about an unnatural lifestyle.

this is the problem with social media, it makes everyone feel like they have 2 cents to add to someone else’s business …the message kim preached has been preached forever … its not new so i’m wondering why everyone is acting as if she is the first person who ever said or felt that way … SOCIAL MEDIA IS TO BLAME
