Kelly Rowland Reminisces About Early Days In Destiny’s Child
In a recent interview, Kelly Rowland shares her first memories of singing and becoming a member of Destiny’s Child. She explains,
I was 5. It was my first solo in church; I remember standing on that chair because I wasn’t of course tall enough and how great it was to be up there and to be able to sing for people and how good I felt.
By age 12 she was a professional singer and a member of Destiny’s Child.
We just wanted to sing and we wanted to sing together and we wanted to sound good together.
Fast forward to the present day, the group has exploded with its members launching their own solo careers. Kelly, a new mother to son Titan, has launched a new book. She explains that post-baby she sought out information that explained her feelings and couldn’t seem to find anything. Her doctor said that most mothers have questions about what happens after birth and someone should write a book about it. Kelly explains,
And, there, “Whoa Baby” was born.
In addition to penning books, Kelly is also working on an album that isn’t quite complete.
I’ve called on some really great people to help me; lyrically I wanted to say some things that have wit, but humor at the same time.
Sweet!
