Ice Cube Confirms 4th Friday Sequel, ‘Last Friday’
Another sequel to the classic movie, “Friday,” is underway. During a recent interview, Ice Cube (real name O’Shea Jackson) shared that they’re currently working on the project. The 47-year-old actor stated,
We’re working on one right now. We’re gonna call it Last Friday.
The original Friday movie was released in 1995 and was directed by F. Gary Gray. It starred Ice Cube, who co-wrote the film with DJ Pooh, and Chris Tucker in his first starring role. The film details roughly 16 hours in the lives of unemployed Craig Jones (Cube) and Smokey (Tucker), who must pay a drug dealer $200 by 10:00 p.m. that night.
The film’s success spawned two sequels: “Next Friday” (2000) and “Friday After Next” (2002). No additional details on the fourth installment has been released.
