Wendy Williams Defends Nelly, Slams Rape Accuser: Stay off tour buses!
Wendy Williams Defends Nelly
Wendy Williams is weighing in on Nelly’s rape accuser. As previously reported, over the weekend, the 42-year-old rapper was arrested for second degree rape and released a short time later.
The woman, who is 21 years old, claimed she was raped on the rapper’s tour bus in a Walmart parking lot in Washington.
She is said to have met Nelly at a club before joining him for an after-party on the bus. Once there, she alleges he tried to have sex with her and she said no. She claims he told her to “shut up” and proceeded to have sex with her without protection, despite her objections.
On Monday, Wendy commented about the situation on her talk show, stating:
Well, you know, as a girl you don’t know what that feeling is like, use or not use [a condom]. All I’m saying is, she’s saying he didn’t use. She’s also claiming he kicked her off the tour bus, afterwards, and threw $100 at her. If she hadn’t put herself in this situation this would not have happened, allegedly.
She also added,
Well, the problem is … that you can’t party the way you read about Nelly. You didn’t grow up in the rolling stone times. Nelly is a rapper from the ’90s and into the 2000s, but still that’s relatively close to what we’re living in right now regarding internet, cell phones, litigious behavior on the part of people who don’t deserve it. Young lady, you’ve got to stay out of tour busses.
Do you agree or disagree with Wendy’s comments?
