“Fashion Police” To End
‘Fashion Police’ Ending
The plug is being pulled on “Fashion Police”. According to reports, the E! style talk show that long served as a platform for the late comic Joan Rivers’ famous wit and biting commentary, will end next month.
Fashion Police premiered on September 10, 2010, on E!. It was originally hosted by Joan Rivers and featured panelists George Kotsiopoulos, Giuliana Rancic, and Kelly Osbourne commenting on celebrity fashions.
Following the death of Joan Rivers, the show went on a 5-month-long hiatus until August 31, 2015 with Melissa Rivers as the new co-host with Giuliana Rancic and Brad Goreski both returning.
The show continued after Rivers’ death in 2014, evolving from a regular program to a series of specials, with Melissa Rivers eventually taking over her mother’s position as host. The most recent special aired in September, pegged to the Primetime Emmy Awards.
“Fashion Police: The Farewell” will debut on E! Nov. 27 at 8 p.m. The special will be hosted by Melissa Rivers and the current panelists, including Giuliana Rancic, Brad Goreski, NeNe Leakes, and Margaret Cho. It will also feature highlights from Joan Rivers’ run on the show, as well as clips from an unaired episode featuring Joan Rivers and her co-hosts paying tribute to ’80s fashion.
The finale will feature signature segments from the series such as “Bitch Stole My Look,” “Guess Me From Behind,” and “Starlet or Streetwalker,” as well as surprise celebrity guests.
The decision to bring the show to an end was made in concert with Melissa Rivers, who executive produces the show with Snegaroff and Lisa Bacon.
I am so proud to have been a part of this show and am so proud that it’s part of my mother’s legacy. It really changed, along with the red carpets, awards-show programming and fashion.
