D.L. Hughley Cheated On His Wife, Impregnated Another Woman & Child Was Murdered

During a recent interview, D.L. Hughley revealed a very personal account of what he experienced years ago in his personal life. The comedian, actor and outspoken radio personality shared that early in his career, he cheated on his wife and had an affair. Hughley says that the affair resulted in impregnating the woman that he was having an affair with. The situation became tragic, when his son from that relationship, was killed by his mistress’ boyfriend. He explains,

So I had knocked this chick up and she had the baby and the baby got killed by her boyfriend. So, it was a horrible, horrible experience. I had this baby I’m paying for. I’m a boy. I’m scared. I’m married.

He continues,

I’m just starting out my career, and I get a call from my boy and he said, ‘Your son is in the hospital,’ and I go – So I go to the hospital, and this boy was lying in the bed and apparently her boyfriend had shaken him and damaged his brain.

Hughley says that he finally told his wife about the situation and he was stunned at her reaction.

I knew that one day I would be man enough to tell my woman what happened.

He added,

Finally, one day, I tell my wife. You know what she said to me? ‘I wish you would’ve told me and we could’ve went through this together.’

Hughley and his wife, LaDonna, have two daughters, Ryan and Tyler, and a son, Kyle.
