R.Kelly Denies Making Fun Of Autistic Fan
R. Kelly is denying reports that he intentionally made fun of one of his fans. This week, the controversial singer made headlines after a video surfaced of him alleging poking fun of Lenny Felix, a 27-year-old autistic fan.
The incident went down outside a Hollywood nightclub. Kelly recorded the video of him jokingly accusing Lenny of being him on Percocet. The singer and his entourage jokingly baited Lenny into singing, “I Believe I Can Fly” and instead of singing along, Kelly looked into the camera and mockingly sang,
I believe that you high, smoking on that Percocet.
Kelly’s entourage laughed, but Lenny and his family feel that he was victimized. They said that when Lenny saw the viral video, he responded:
I don’t want him to think I’m dumb. Do you think he was making fun of me?
His mom said the family met with an attorney over the situation. In the meantime, Kelly removed the video and posted a video on social media saying he was unaware that Lenny was autistic and that the public often tries to tear him down. He states,
Okay, now people want to say I’m making fun of people with autism. Totally, not true.
He continued,
I can’t do anything without people saying something negative about me.

Well what did the family meet with an attorney for? What would they have been suing for? Emotional distress? Lord forbid, this type of harm was caused. I don’t think everything merits a law suit and money doesn’t solve every problem!
People need to use more common sense. Stop bullying people and making fun of them. And even worse, recording it!
