Meek Mill’s Request To Be Released From Prison Denied
A Pennsylvania court has denied Meek Mill’s request to be freed from prison and allowed to post bail. On Tuesday, the state’s Superior Court denied the request from lawyers representing the 30-year-old rapper. Instead, they directed a lower court to handle the case.

Mill’s attorneys contend the judge who sentenced the musician, Judge Genece Brinkley, refuses to respond to their post-sentencing appeals. Superior Court ordered the judge to stop stalling on his appeal motion. Meek’s team had claimed in a habeas corpus petition that Brinkley was virtually ignoring his post-sentencing motions, making it impossible for him to file an appeal.

As previously reported, Meek was sentenced to two to four years in prison for violating probation on a decade-old gun and drug case. The sentence came despite recommendations from Mill’s probation officer and a prosecutor that Mill not be jailed.
Mill’s legal team previously has asked for his release and for the judge to be recused from his case.

THEM GOING AFTER THE JUDGE IS ONLY MAKING IT WORSE FOR HIM B/C THOSE JUDGES STICK TOGETHER ESP WHEN HE ACTUALLY DID VIOLATE HIS PAROLE/PROBATION. EVEN IF HE WAS RIGHT THEY WILL LET THE HANDS OF JUSTICE MOVE VERY, VERY SLOW JUST TO TEACH HIM AND EVERYONE ELSE A LESSON FOR PUBLICLY CALLING OUT A JUDGE. PEOPLE FORGET THE RECOMMENDATIONS FROM HIS P.O. AND THE PROSECUTOR ARE JUST THAT B/C THE JUDGE ALWAYS HAS THE FINAL SAY. HE GOT AWAY WITH HIS B/S FOR SO LONG AND GETTING HIS GOONS TO DO HIS DIRTY WORK THAT NOW HE’S ACTING LIKE A SPOILED PRIVILEGED BRAT………JENNY JONES!!!
Momentarily setting aside Meek’s issues, I feel and have always felt that judges have TOO MUCH POWER. They have no ‘checks and balances.’ Its a shame.
