Frank Ocean Tries To Block Dad from Leaking Sensitive Information
theJasmineBRAND exclusively reports, the legal battle between Frank Ocean and his father continues. The 30-year-old artist and writer has asked a judge to block his father from releasing confidential information about him to the public. Ocean fears that he may leak it to the public, after losing his lawsuit against him.
As previously reported, Ocean’s father, Calvin Cooksey, is suing him for $14.5 million. Cooksey claims that he was a victim of defamation, after his son shared a social media post claiming that he used homophobic language in the past.
As a result of Ocean’s post, Cooksey says he suffered damages and was unable to sell a movie script.
In the new court documents, Ocean explains he and his mother had to testify and answer questions by Cooksey who represented himself. During the testimony, Ocean says the pair had to answer questions about confidential and private facts that had no relevance to the case.
Ocean fears his father will leak the transcript and the public will become privy to private information.
