Xscape Changes Name, Signs To CAA Without Kandi Burruss
Xscape is making some serious moves. The group has made a slight name change, now being called XSCAP3. No word on what triggered the name change.
The group, which includes Tameka “Tiny” Cottle, La Tocha Scott and Tamika Scott, has also signed with CAA for worldwide representation in all areas. The latest representation move does not include group member Kandi Burruss.
The four group members recently headlined The Great Xscape Tour, which sold out arenas across the country. Their upcoming album, Here For It, will be released March 3 and will not include group member Kandi. The project will be released via their own label, XSCAP3 Entertainment.
Xscape first formed in 1992 and were signed by Jermaine Dupri on his So So Def label. The group split in 1998. They are currently filming a documentary that will trace the group and its members’ origins. Kandi is currently on Broadway and has revealed that she will be performing over the summer with the group.
