Chadwick Boseman To Star and Produce Action Thriller ’17 Steps’
After a whirlwind year, Chadwick Boseman is ready to get back to work. Boseman will star in the action thriller “17 Steps” with Brian Kirk directing. The film will follow a disgraced former NYPD detective, (Boseman), who gets a shot at redemption, while the city is conducting a frantic search for a cop killer.
Boseman and his business partner, Logan Cole, will produce along with the Russo Brothers (Joe and Anthony) for their Agbo production company. Filming is scheduled to begin in September.

This will be the first film Boseman will star in since portraying King T’Challa/Black Panther in “Marvel’s Black Panther.” The Ryan Coogler directed film grossed $1.3 billion at the global box office. Boseman also reprised the role in “Avengers: Infinity War,” directed by the Russo Brothers.
Boseman and Coles will produce “Stars In My Soul” based on the memoir co-written by Hakeem Oluseyi, who grew up in Louisiana and against all odds became a NASA astrophysicist. Additionally, they will produce international thriller “Expatriate” with Oscar winner Barry Jenkins directing.
Boseman is known for portraying Jackie Robinson in “42” (2013), James Brown in “Get on Up” (2014), Thurgood Marshall in “Marshall” (2017). He has also starred in the films “The Express” (2008), “Draft Day” (2014), “Captain America: Civil War” (2016) and “Message from the King” (2016).
