EXCLUSIVE: Late NBA Star Rasual Butler – Foreclosure Battle w/ His Estate Dropped
theJasmineBRAND exclusively reports, the estate of late NBA star Rasual Butler won’t be having to deal with the legal battle demanding foreclosure of his Florida property, with the case being dropped recently.
As previously reported, Butler sadly died in a car crash on January 31, 2018 in Los Angeles.
The former player’s wife singer Leah LaBelle, was in the car with him and also died in the accident.
Months before his tragic death, he was sued in Florida court by the Pembroke Shores Community Association. They accused him of owing over a thousand in fees relating to his home and sought to foreclose on the home to collect on their money.
According to court docs, Butler’s daughter took over his estate once he died and put the home at the center of the battle up for sale. The property recently sold for $440,000.
On August 30th, Pembroke Shores Community Association dropped their lawsuit by dismissing all claims against Butler’s estate.
They filed a notice of voluntary dismissal without prejudice and discharged the liens against the home. The sale of the home clearly settled all the issues and the case was closed.
