Selena Gomez Admitted Into Psychiatric Facility Following Hospitalization
Selena Gomez is currently being treated for a mental health condition at an East Coast psychiatric facility, according to reports. The former Disney child star is said to be undertaking dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), following her being hospitalized twice in the last two weeks.
She was first transported to the hospital in the result of her white blood cell count being low. After being released, she was readmitted last week due to the white blood cell count remaining considerably low. Reports claim Gomez didn’t take the news very well.
Sources say the 26-year-old had “an emotional breakdown” and
freaked out.

A meltdown.

Reportedly, Gomez tried ripping the IV’s out of her arms. Her white blood cell count could be low due to the “Wizards of Waverly Place” actress suffering from lupus. As the result of her emotional breakdown, the actress has been admitted into the an unidentified psychiatric facility where she is being treated for DBT. The treatment focuses on helping patients gain control of their lives through learning how to communicate, defining and understanding behavioral patterns, and learning emotional control.
