50 Cent Says New Power Spin-Off Set In 1980s
Looks like our intel was correct. Back in May, theJasmineBRAND broke the story that a potential spin-off is in the works for the hit series ‘Power’. While the details have not yet been confirmed, a post this week by 50 Cent is fueling those rumors.
Towards the end of the fifth season, show creator Courtney Kemp of the hit premium cable network show, stated how she believed all good things must come to an end; hypothetically meaning, “Power” was a show she never designed to be carried out for 10 seasons. With that being noted, viewers and fans of the series are curious to see where things could possibly be headed for their favorite characters like Ghost, Tasha, Tariq, and Tommy.

With no official word of what is to happen next, hints are carefully being drizzled throughout the media and social media.
Over the summer, sources told us that there was a possible Power spin-off series that would center around Larenz Tate’s character, Councilman Tate. While 50 Cent teased another possible spin-off Wednesday on Instagram. His caption read,
My Power spin off is so crazy I’m doing the prequel. Wait till you see this shit , TGE influence (The Golden Era) Southside we outside 1988 Boom

Reports last week also confirmed the rumors about multiple “Power” spin-offs, due to Kemp inking a multi-year overall deal with Lionsgate, the parent company of Starz, to develop multiple series for them, including “projects inspired by the world of” “Power.”
