Gilbert Arenas Calls Himself The “Mayweather Of Court” After Successfully Suing A Woman Who Claimed He Harassed Her

Over the summer, a woman by the name of Janelle Reeves claimed that she been in an on-and-off relationship with former NBA star Gilbert Arenas since 2016. Reeves says that when things went sour, Arenas began to stalk and harass her. She says he also threatened to show their sex tape to her 10-year-old son. Reeves obtained a restraining order from the court which barred Arenas from coming 100 yards from her or her son. The restraining order was later dismissed when Reeves failed to return to court the next month.

According to Arenas, Reeves made the entire thing up. He says,

Reeves created the false impression of supposedly having received threatening messages by making copies of various texts that she created and sent to herself.

Arenas claimed that Reeves’ lie cost him his media job at Yahoo Sports as well as caused him significant humilation. For that, he sued her to the tune of $10 million.

Arenas’ case was dropped earlier this month but according to his lawyer, it’s because they made Reeves pay up.

[Reeves] resolved the dispute by paying Mr. Arenas an undisclosed amount for his damages and confirming that the restraining order action of June 2018 was meritless, filed with fabricated documents and, therefore, filed without cause.

Of course, Gilbert Arenas shared his joy in a social media post on Instagram.

Gilbert has been pretty consistent in the court room. He should definitely host a seminar and share some pointers.
