DMX Officially Released From Prison
As previously reported, DMX was officially released from Gilmer Federal Correctional Institution Friday morning. The rapper was met by his family who were waiting to pick him up from the West Virginia prison. He was ordered to serve a one year sentence in January 2018, after pleading guilty to tax evasion in November 2017.

With X being home, he now has to begin an outpatient program for substance abuse and mental health, in addition to paying the IRS $2.3 million in restitution. He is also expected to release a new album and biopic very soon.
DMX was ordered to serve a year in prison due to pleading guilty to one count of tax fraud after evading the payment of income taxes in the period ranging from 2010 through 2016. He was accused of engaging in a scheme of concealing millions of dollars of income from the IRS and avoiding paying $1.7 million of tax liabilities.
