50 Cent – NYPD Officer Commanded Officers To Shoot Rapper “On Sight”
Is 50 Cent‘s “Power” role spilling into his life off-set? The New York Police Department has opened an investigation on Deputy Inspector Emanuel Gonzalez, the commanding officer of the 72nd Precinct in Sunset Park. Officer Gonzalez reportedly told the officers on his command to “shoot 50 Cent on sight” when they see the rapper/actor, according to reports.
The remark was reportedly given last June when 50 (real name, Curtis Jackson) was hosting a boxing match in the Bronx, sanctioned by NYPD. Officer Gonzalez’s command was recorded, and the other officers allegedly took it as a joke. However, one of the officers reported the remark to higher command, and an investigation was started.
50 Cent, who was shot nine times in 2000, took to both Twitter and Instagram to address the situation. He said:
“This is how I wake up this morning, This guy Emanuel Gonzales is a dirty cop abusing his POWER. The sad part is this man still has a badge and a gun.
I take this threat very seriously and im consulting with my legal counsel regarding my options moving forward.”

He continued, noting that he was never properly made aware of the situation:
“@50centI am concerned that I was not previously advised of this threat by the NYPD. #NYnotSafe #TheGangstagotabadge”

50, then, took to his usual social media shenanigans – poking fun at Officer Gonzalez by questioning his gangster. He posted this caption to Instagram:
“@50cent ‘This is Emanuel Gonzalez commanding officer of the 72percinct. He think he got beef with me,so he sending the Homies to put some work in. NYNOTSAFE #thegangstagotabadge…Smh this guy is a Gangsta with a badge emanuel gonzalez, is not fit to be a commanding officer. #nynotsafe #thegangstagotabadge”

A few celebrities took to 50’s comment section to sound off on the dangerous situation.

Deputy Inspector Emanuel Gonzalez has been on active duty for over 30 years, and is still on roster while the investigation is underway.
