Woman Who Posted Bail For R. Kelly Receives Bomb Threat To Her Daycare Center

When embattled singer/songwriter/producer R. Kelly was arrested in late February after being charged with 10 counts of sexual abuse against minors, he had a hard time posting the $100,000 bond. However, a close friend of his saved the day, a woman by the name of Valencia P. Love, but apparently someone was so upset that she helped Kelly they reportedly called in a bomb threat to her business.

According to reports, Valencia P. Love is the owner of a local Chicago daycare that had to be evacuated recently due to a bomb threat that was called in to the business. Chicago law enforcement confirmed the details surrounding the bomb threat, stating that several calls came in reporting the threat, which led authorities to evacuate the building to ensure the safety of those inside. After thoroughly checking the premises, authorities did not find any explosives.

There are conflicting reports as to the exact nature of Love’s involvement with the daycare, as some information suggests she’s the owner, while other reports say she is merely “connected” to it. Love is reportedly still listed as a registered agent of the daycare center, but Chicago media outlets say that those currently working at the daycare, as well as the Department of Children and Family Services, claim Love is not an employee there anymore.

After posting Kelly’s bond, Love released a statement saying that she stands by the singer and believes he is innocent. Time will tell if she will continue to fund his legal fees, as they are likely to be pretty expensive once the case goes to trial.
