Remy Ma Hit With 4 Charges In Alleged Assault Case Involving Brittney Taylor

The drama surrounding the alleged assault between Love & Hip Hop stars Remy Ma and Brittney Taylor has reached an extremely serious level. What started as a ‘she said, she said’, has turned into Remy Ma officially facing four charges for allegedly punching Taylor in the face back in April.

Brittney Taylor took to social media in April, accusing Remy Ma for allegedly assaulting her.  According to reports, Remy is currently facing four charges stemming from her allegedly assaulting Taylor when the two women were backstage at a New York benefit concert at Irving Plaza.

Prosecutors in the case officially filed four charges against Remy on May 24^th in a New York court, including two counts of assault in the third degree, one count of aggravated harassment in the second degree, and one count of harassment in the second degree. All of the charges are misdemeanors, which helps Remy slightly since she is already a convicted felon who was served previous jail time.

Remy was initially booked for misdemeanor assault after she turned herself in, however this latest development by prosecutors makes that charge and others official. Despite the pending charges, reportedly Remy has been offered a deal to plead guilty to just the most serious charge, assault in the third degree. If she agrees, then the remaining charges will be dropped, but she would also be required to attend a long-term anger management program.

Remy has continued to maintain her innocence in the case due to her claims that she was home at 9:30 PM when Taylor said she was assaulted. Remy’s attorney Dawn Florio is calling out the prosecutors for allegedly changing the time that Taylor said she was assaulted from 9:30 to 10:30 PM, to coincide with the time Remy arrived at the concert venue. Interestingly, there is still no video footage of the alleged assault.

At press time, Remy has not taken the deal offered and is scheduled to stand trial in the case in July.
