Besides throwing a little shade here and there at her soon-to-be ex-husband Kevin Hunter, Williams has yet to fully comment on her recent troubles, specifically her divorce—however recent reports suggest she’s willing, but she’s wants a guaranteed extended spotlight first.

Following the drama surrounding Wendy Williams’ son, Kevin Jr., getting into a physical altercation with his dad that led to his arrest, it’s now being reported that the daytime talk show host is ready for a sit-down tell-all interview to discuss all of the issues that she’s been in the middle of this year.

Reportedly, Williams is currently shopping her story to various TV networks. She allegedly has approached several major networks, including ABC, NBC and Oprah Winfrey’s OWN, to offer an emotional no holds barred interview. However, one crucial issue is Williams’ demand for an hour-long primetime slot.
An inside source reportedly revealed that Williams getting an entire hour of primetime TV is asking a lot:
“Her people wanted a morning show initially but then the idea came along for her to get an hour-long prime time slot, which most of the networks have balked at. An hour of Wendy time is a lot of time. Gayle King didn’t even give R. Kelly an hour. The other concern for the networks is which of their star names would sit down with her.”

There are also rumors swirling that since Williams fired Hunter from his executive producer position on her show, things have quickly tuned “toxic” and filled with “chaos.” An inside source stated,
“Say what you will about Kevin, but he ran a tight ship.”
The Wendy Williams Show’s current contract is set to expire in the summer of 2020.
