Harvard Rescinds Offer To Parkland Shooting Survivor After Discovering Racist Comments

Over a year before the devastating Parkland shooting, one of its survivors, Kyle Kashuv, was found to have made racist comments in a series of messages between himself and his friends. As a result of his actions, his Harvard acceptance was recently rescinded—and he’s speaking out against it.

Parkland shooting survivor, conservative and Pro-Second Amendment activist Kyle Kashuv is learning that just as easy as something is given, it can be taken away just as easily. Kashuv was previously accepted into the Harvard University graduating class of 2023—but after his past racist comments were discovered, the offer to attend the Ivy League university was promptly rescinded.

In a series of lengthy and detailed tweets, Kashuv explained the entire situation, specifically how he was notified that he would not be attending Harvard in the fall of 2020.

The situation is currently making the rounds on national news outlets and TV shows, including ABC’s The View, which offered their take on Harvard’s decision BELOW:

As for what his next steps are, Kashuv had this to say:

“I believe that institutions and people can grow. I’ve said that repeatedly. In the end, this isn’t about me. It’s about whether we live in a society in which forgiveness is possible or mistakes brand you as irredeemable, as Harvard has decided for me. I had given up huge scholarships in order to go to Harvard, and the deadline for accepting other college offers has ended. I’m exploring all options at the moment.”

At press time, representatives from Harvard have not commented on Kyle Kashuv’s tweets.
