Eddie Murphy: I’m Going To Do Stand-Up Comedy Again!
Eddie Murphy will return to the stage! The 58-year-old comedian and actor revealed that he hasn’t retired from comedy and will return to stand-up comedy. He revealed this a Netflix clip of Jerry Seinfeld‘s Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. Seinfeld asks Murphy,
“You know that you not doing stand-up drives people crazy — you know that, right?”
Murphy explains that before the late comedian Don Rickles passed, he told him that he needs to return to stand-up. He says,
“I’m going to do it again. Everything just has to be right. You have to get up there and start working out. [I] still gotta go to the comedy club.”
Despite years of comedy and film, Murphy has maintained a relatively low profile. His latest project was Mr. Church (2016), a drama film based on the short story “The Cook Who Came To Live With Us”.
His focus now is on his family. Last November, he welcomed his tenth child, son Max, with his fiancee Paige Butcher. They also have a 3-year-old daughter Izzy.

Eddie Murphy poses in a family photo wit his 8 children.
His other children include: Eric Murphy, 29; Bria Murphy, 29; Christian Murphy, 28; Miles Murphy, 26; Shayne Audra Murphy, 24; Zola Ivy Murphy, 19; Bella Zahra Murphy, 16 and Angel Iris Murphy Brown, 11.
