Aaliyah’s Twitter Account Teases New Project From Late Singer
It’s been nearly 18 years since “Rock The Boat” singer Aaliyah passed away in 2001. But it’s safe to say her legacy still lives on.
Her official Twitter page hinted at something new for fans next month.
“Get your best Aaliyah look ready… something is coming. #ShowUsYourAaliyah… 8.21.19 The Legacy Continues. #Aaliyah“

It’s not clear what it is, but it looks like it’s centered around Aaliyah’s iconic and unique style.

Aaliyah, whose real name is Dana Houghton, burst onto the music scene with her debut album, Age Ain’t Nothin But A Number in 1994. It featured hit singles like “Back & Forth” and “At Your Best (You Are Love).”
She went on to release her sophomore album One In A Million two years later with singles like “One In A Million,” “Four Page Letter” and “If Your Girl Only Knew.”

Her hit “Are you That Somebody” was also featured on the Dr. Doolittle soundtrack in 1998.
She then made her debut as an actress in Romeo Must Die in 2000.
She showed her evolution in her final and self-titled album, Aaliyah, released in 2001. It featured singles like “Rock The Boat,” “More Than A Woman,” and “I Care 4 U.”
