Cardi B Concert Abruptly Rescheduled Minutes Before Show After ‘Unverified Threat’
Cardi B reportedly had to cancel her concert in Indianapolis minutes before her show, due to an “unverified threat” made against her according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department. The show was scheduled to start at 7 p.m. and the postponement was announced at 6:24 p.m. There is no immediate threat to public safety, nor is there an active incident, but police are continuing to investigate.
Tuesday night’s show has been rescheduled for September 11. The venue says all tickets for the original date will be honored and if you’re unable to attend the new date, refunds will be issued at point of purchase.
In a statement, Bankers Life said the cancellation was “due to circumstances beyond anyone’s control.”
Cardi reportedly had been at the venue for a sound check prior to the postponement. She hasn’t said anything about the postponement, but she did encourage fans to watch Tuesday night’s Democratic presidential primary debate.
Update: Cardi has released a statement about the incident.
Dear Indiana people I’m so sorry for today .I will like to let you know I was at the venue I was even rehearsing a new move I been excited to do on my show. Unfortunately there was a security threat that is currently under investigation right now. My safety and your safety first. pic.twitter.com/4glELemzYY
