Friends and family of Grammy award-winning songwriter/producer – LaShawn “Big Shiz” Daniels – gathered to lay him to rest yesterday (9/10/10) in Charlotte, NC. The private ceremony was restricted to friends and family of the hit maker, tragically killed in a car accident last week.

While no media was granted access to Lashawn’s funeral, the service was a star-studded affair. According to the program, words of reflection were given by Pastor John Gray, with musical tributes given by Tasha Cobbs Leonard, PJ Morton, and Israel Houghton. Friends in attendance, such as Michelle Williams, Rodney Jerkins, and Warryn and Erica Campbell – shared their all-white tributes to their fallen angel on Instagram.

Our thoughts and prayers are with April Daniels and the friends and family of LaShawn Daniels.
