Niecy Nash Wants To ‘Interview’ The Woman Her Ex-Husband Moves On With: I Gotta Make Sure He’s Taken Care Of

Niecy Nash might have one of the most peaceful splits in Hollywood history. The “Claws” star opened up about her shocking split from husband Jay Tucker after eight years.

“For us, it’s easy because we love each other. The love has just taken on a different form, but [he’s] always gonna be my friend.”

As for whether she’s ready to mingle in her new single life, she said,

“I’m just over here drinking my water and healing. I ain’t ready to put all this back on the block. It’s too much too soon.”

She also wants to be present when Tucker moves on, which hasn’t happened yet.

“I would love to interview any girl who’s gonna be on his block. I gotta make sure he’s taken care of.”

Nash and Tucker announced their divorce in a joint statement via social media last month.

“We believe in the beauty of truth. Always have. Our truth is that in this season of our lives, we are better friends than partners in marriage. Our union was such a gorgeous ride. And as we go our separate ways now, we feel fortunate for the love we share – present tense. Thank you all out there for your support of us as a couple over the last eight years. We are grateful.
