Nick Cannon’s Daytime Talk Show To Premiere Fall 2020, Picked Up In Local Fox Markets

Nick Cannon has come into our homes in more ways than one.

From movies to hosting popular shows like “The Masked Singer,” Nick Cannon is an honorary member of many people’s families.

Now, he’s taking on another role as his daytime talk show has found a home in Fox. Seventeen major Fox markets have agreed to air the show. Nine of the top 10 markets are on the list. According to reports, this method made the most sense considering Cannon is no stranger to Fox as he hosts the network’s “The Masked Singer” and the upcoming “Nick Cannon’s Hit Viral Videos.”

The daytime talk show is scheduled for a Fall 2020 premiere.

According to Lionsgate’s Debmar-Mercury, the forthcoming show will feature Nick Cannon’s

“take on the latest in trending pop culture stories and other watercooler topics, celebrity interviews and other surprises.”

The network is also geared up for Cannon’s show as its VP of programming for Fox Television Stations, Frank Cicha, said,

“We need to take big swings, and Nick Cannon should be a natural fit with our lineups. Plus, he can help me a lot in our ‘Masked Singer’ office pool.”

Cannon also said having his own daytime talk show is a dream come true.

“It’s always been a dream of mine to host my own talk show, and I’m fortunate to have found great partners in Fox and Debmar-Mercury. My experience with Fox as a producer and host on both ‘The Masked Singer,’ as well as the soon-to-air ‘Nick Cannon’s Hit Viral Videos,’ has been exceptional.”

Debmar-Mercury co-presidents Ira Bernstein and Mort Marcus also said they’re confident Cannon has already proved himself as a viable talent. They said they were thankful the leaders at Fox

“share our strong belief in Nick, a multi-talented force of nature who will bring his fresh approach and track record of success to daytime talk. Nick has been able to build a brand name across all platforms with unique ability to connect to the audience, which is exactly what you need to do to succeed in this competitive world.”

Cannon, who hosted NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” for eight years had a hand at hosting his own talk show when he filled in for Wendy Williams earlier this year.
