Juice Wrld — 2 Bodyguards Who Were With Rapper At Time Of His Death Arrested For Having Guns At Airport
While fans are still grasping with the tragic death of rapper Juice Wrld, two of his security guards who were with him during the incident Sunday (Dec. 8), have been arrested on gun charges, according to reports from Page Six.
Juice Wrld, whose real name is Jarad Anthony Higgins, was with nearly a dozen people, from people on his team to security to aircraft workers) when he had his seizure just after landing at Chicago’s Midway International Airport Sunday (Dec. 8).
Two of the security guards were taken into custody after being found with weapons, according to Chicago police representative Anthony Guglielmi.
While the two men had a conceal and carry permit, the said permit didn’t give them permission to carry the weapons in the airport.
They were taken into custody and charged with misdemeanor gun violations.
Despite the tragedy and the setback of the arrest, Juice Wrld’s team was said to be “very cooperative.”
Juice Wrld went into cardiac arrest and was taken to the hospital before he was pronounced dead shortly after 3 a.m. Sunday (Dec. 9).
According to reports, he went into a convulsion had been bleeding from his mouth at the time paramedics arrived on the scene. There’s no suspicion of foul play, according to reports.
New reports also state that he took pills before his death, and struggled with Percocet. The FBI also reportedly seized 70 pounds of marijuana.
He was honored with the Top New Artist at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards earlier this year.
