Ludacris Officially Becomes A Citizen of Wife’s Native African Country
Congratulations to Rapper Ludacris! The rapper turned actor took to Instagram on Thursday (Jan. 2nd) to announce he has now completed paper work to officially become a citizen of a West Africa country. However, Luda (real name Christopher Bridges), 42, didn’t join any African Country, he started the new year joining his wife, Eudoxie Bridges’ native country, Gabon. He writes,
“Starting My New Year off with Dual Citizenship! AFRICA IM OFFICIAL!! Momma & Kids Too. The Best Gift of the Decade. Award goes to Eudoxie.”
Luda filmed his excitement with Gabonese authorities showing off his new passport saying,
“Ladies and gentlemen, I just became an official citizen of Gabon. Of Africa! I am a loyal citizen of Zamunda! I mean, Gabon. This is the greatest day of my life! And Wakanda. All of that.”
Soon after sharing, several celebs took to Luda’s comments in support of his citizenship including Lala Anthony and Jermaine Dupree. Fellow artists and actor Tyrese notes how amazing and proud the rapper’s wife should be. He writes,
“African-American for real!!!!!! That’s a BAR. Shout to Eudoxie, that’s dooooope!!!!”

On Friday (Jan. 3rd), Luda followed up his citizenship announcement adding how he plans to travel in style in Gadon.
“Now that I’m an official Citizen of Gabon I travel the country a little different I told them let’s get to Work right away.”
A follower takes a hilarious reference to one of the rapper’s notable singles writing,
“DIFFERENCE AREA CODES.”

Reportedly, Luda and his wife’s trip has been in the works for many years. The rapper recently wore a very symbolic pro-African t-shirt which summarizes his recent trip. Luda’s shirt reads,
”I am not an African because I was born in Africa. I am an African because Africa was born in me. I have returned.”

In addition, Luda and Eudoxie also celebrated five years of marriage while in her native land of Gadon on Christmas Eve. The couple celebrated with a dinner celebration and some very smooth dance moves from the newest Gabonese.
Congratulations Luda!
