NeNe Leakes’ Rep Denies She’s Quitting ‘RHOA’, As Wendy Williams Reveals That She Is Leaving The Show + Adds: NeNe Has A Big Secret That Will Make You Cry!

False alarm!

It looks like “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” OG NeNe Leakes won’t be leaving the popular Bravo reality show after all.

NeNe Leakes’s friend Wendy Williams was actually the one to start the rumors. Wendy Williams said during a chat with Jerry O’Connell on her talk show Tuesday (Jan. 21),

“NeNe text ‘I’m quitting.’… 9:08 this morning. I’m surprised I got it because I have no service in my office, but I got it.”

While we’ve seen NeNe Leakes battle her co-stars all season long, Wendy Williams hinted that something deeper is going on that viewers haven’t seen.

“I’ve got to say something but I’m not gonna say a whole lot. I know something about NeNe that you all will cry, be sad, feel bad for her. She’s carrying the weight of a huge thing on her shoulders.”

When asked if it was related to her husband Gregg Leakes, who recently overcame his battle with cancer, Williams said,

“Gregg is not sick. Gregg is cured…”

She went on to say that NeNe would have to be the one to reveal what it is.

“Listen… I’m not going to say it, she’s got to say it. But in my opinion NeNe, I didn’t even call you back. You need this platform to explain the other part of your life. Forget hair pieces and arguing with them broads. You’ve got that secret and that secret is gonna melt their hearts. When she shared it with me, I cried with her Jerry.”

Still, according to new reports from TooFab, NeNe isn’t really quitting, she was simply venting to Williams. One source said,

“It’s been an especially difficult couple of weeks for Nene, and she was venting to her friend in private correspondence. Nothing has been confirmed or officially decided for next season.”

NeNe also seemed to deny Williams’s account of things. She shared a snapshot and channeled her co-star Porsha Williams when she asked,

“WHO SAD DAT!?!?!”

NeNe first joined the show in season 1, before taking a break for seasons eight and nine (she did have a few appearances in season eight). She then returned with her peach for season 10. And she’s been very vocal about her drama with her co-stars lately.
