Actress Debbie Allen & Former NBA Player Norm Nixon Celebrate 36 Years Of Marriage

Debbie Allen and former NBA player Norm Nixon have truly stood the test of time. This week, the couple celebrated an impressive 36 years of marriage. While it’s no secret that long-lasting relationships in Hollywood are hard to come by, the spark between them is still going strong.

While most of the country is still under quarantine, the Emmy-Award winning actress dedicated a post to her longtime love. Debbie Allen shared a throwback clip of the couple on the dance floor at a past anniversary celebration. In the Instagram post, Debbie Allen called the former Los Angeles Laker her “forever dance partner.” She wrote the caption,

“Happy Anniversary to the love of my life, Norm. So thankful to have you as my forever dance partner. 36 years and counting, baby!”

Debbie Allen and Norm Nixon tied the knot on April 27, 1984, and share three children: Vivian Nichole Nixon, Norman Nixon Jr., and DeVaughn Nixon (Norm’s son from a previous relationship.) Norm Nixon is a two-time NBA champion.

Debbie Allen, who is known for her work on the 80’s television series “Fame,” recently hosted some epic dance classes on Instagram live. The high-energy performances by the “Grey’s Anatomy” actress quickly began trending. She also runs the Debbie Allen Dance Academy.
