According to Fox5NY, the vehicle that Dave East was in was initially pulled over because the driver allegedly failed to signal when making a turn. Once stopped however, officers said they smelled a strong odor of marijuana. Reports claim that Dave East was removed from the vehicle for allegedly being “combative” after being asked to show his ID.
Once arriving at the 114th precinct, the NYPD said Dave East is said to have cooperated with investigators and handed over his ID. Before he was released he was issued two summonses. One for disorderly conduct and another for marijuana possession.
