Singer Chloe Bailey Addresses Rumors ‘Busy Boy’ Is About Diggy Simmons: We Put Our Experiences In Our Music

Chloe Bailey is opening up about rumors that Chloe x Halle’s hit song “Busy Boy” from their latest album Ungodly Hour is about her alleged former relationship with Diggy Simmons.

During a recent interview, Chloe Bailey and her sister Halle Bailey answered questions about their project and “Busy Boy.” When asked if it was about their “grown-ish” co-star Diggy Simmons, Chloe Bailey said,

“What I love about creating music is that we can kinda put our experiences in the music and that’s how we share our personal life and it’s fun because that’s how our fans can kinda see what we’ve been dealing with.”

The interviewer then goes on to ask Chloe and Halle Bailey if they are single, in which they respond,

“Yeah, both single”

The first song on Ungodly Hour that seemed to mention an ex cheating and a baby resulting from the cheating was “Do It”,

“No drama / No baby mamas / Keepin’ it cute”

However, the song, “Busy Boy,” seems to detail the alleged incident. They sing:

“It’s four o’clock / You sendin’ me too many pictures of your… / Baby, are you drunk? / Or did you mean to send it to another girl? / And by the way / I think I just stumbled on your girlfriend’s page / Congratulations / She sayin’ that the baby comin’ any day”

Diggy Simmons and Chloe were said to be a couple last fall. They also play an on-again-off-again couple on “grown-ish.”
